Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support our operations in the Asia-Pacific region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the dental or healthcare industry and be adept at managing legal issues across multiple jurisdictions within APAC. You will provide strategic legal advice, ensure compliance with local regulations, and support business activities to mitigate legal risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal counsel on a wide range of matters, including contracts, regulatory compliance, and business transactions within the APAC region.
  • Research, advise, and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
  • Advise on healthcare and dental industry-specific regulations and ensure the company adheres to all local legal requirements.
  • Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
  • Support cross-functional teams in navigating legal risks and provide solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues.
  • Review, draft, and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company's full legal rights.
  • Deal with complex matters involving multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally, including external legal counsel as needed to address complex legal matters.
  • Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations across APAC countries that may impact the business.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a legal advisor.
  • Proven experience as a Legal Counsel in a business environment, with startups experience being an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience within the dental or healthcare industry.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures, across APAC regions.
  • Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a corporation.
  • Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • BSc degree in Law or J.D. degree.
