High Power Researcher Opportunity

In this high-profile position, you will lead a team responsible for identifying and perfecting new technologies that can be introduced to the Advanced Technology teams for conversion to working platforms. Key areas of interest include solid-state transformers, isolated DC-DC converter topologies, advanced AC three-phase input sections with harmonic control, and other solutions to fundamental problems in modern data centers.

As a seasoned professional in power systems or power electronics, you will bring your expertise to bear on the research and prototyping phases, providing technology leadership and making decisions on how to solve technical problems. You will also collaborate across functional teams to assess whether proposed technologies meet product specifications, cost targets, and schedules.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Masters degree or recent PhD in power systems or power electronics
  • 7 years design experience for Masters degree, 2 years design experience for PhD degree, in high-power circuits and topologies related to power supply design (rack server, OBC, EVFC, HVDC, solid-state transformer concepts, etc.)
  • Strong power electronics/power supply design knowledge and deep understanding of popular topologies such as Totem-pole PFC, Vienna PFC, T-NPC, ANPC, flyback, LLC, CLLC, DAB, etc.
  • Solid magnetics design skill and experience
  • Familiarity with AC/DC PSU EMC and safety regulations and engineering simulation tools such as MatchCAD, SIMetrix, PSIM, PADs

What we are looking for is a self-motivated and passionate individual with excellent teamwork skills. Strong English skills are required, and Chinese language skills are an added benefit. Competence in using various software packages including Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and others is essential.
