We are seeking a seasoned Marine Operations Director to oversee the day-to-day management of our container vessel fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of daily marine operations, ensuring safety, schedule reliability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Voyage planning and execution, including routing, weather avoidance, and fuel optimisation.
  • Bunker management, procurement, and consumption monitoring in line with environmental regulations.
  • Stowage planning for efficient space utilisation while ensuring cargo safety and compliance.
  • Closely coordinated activities with ports and terminals globally to secure berths and resolve operational challenges.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure adherence to international maritime regulations, port state control, flag state requirements, and company policies.
  • Oversee vessel inspections, audits, certifications, and incident investigations.
  • Maintain operational manuals and emergency response procedures.

Fleet Performance & Maintenance:

  • Monitor vessel performance through data analysis, recommending improvements.
  • Oversee dry-docking, vessel upgrades, retrofits, and newbuild deliveries.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or a related field.
  • COC Class 1 Deck Officer or Chief Engineer certificate preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive marine operations experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of container vessel operations and excellent leadership skills.
