Door and Lock Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a skilled tradesperson responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining doors and gates at residential and commercial properties.

This role involves working with various types of doors and locks, including digital security systems. You will need to have strong technical skills and the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.

The ideal candidate will have a customer-focused mindset and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting and manual tasks.

In this role, you will also be required to conduct site assessments to determine installation requirements and provide recommendations. You will need to be able to troubleshoot technical issues with doors, gates, and digital locks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain doors and gates at residential and commercial properties
  • Install, repair, and maintain digital locks and security systems at residential and commercial properties
  • Conduct site assessments to determine installation requirements and provide recommendations
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and resolve technical issues with doors, gates, and digital locks

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in installing and repairing doors, gates, digital locks or similar systems is a plus
  • Basic technical skills and the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
  • Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting and manual tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driving license
