Debt Servicing Job Description

As a Debt Servicer, you will be responsible for managing the life cycle of debt management program clients. Your duties will include on-boarding new clients, providing support to help them complete their debt management journey by resolving repayment issues and disputes with creditors.

  • Manage client relationships and resolve any issues that may arise during the debt management process.
  • Contact clients who default in payments and ensure all cases are worked within the stipulated deadline.
  • Administer inactive accounts and terminated cases, making arrangements for review sessions and appeals to creditors when necessary.
  • Handle queries from clients and creditors in a timely and effective manner.
  • Document and update communication with clients and creditors accurately and comprehensively.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with colleagues across departments.
  • Provide support cover for LML/MDMP/DMP/NAR review cases as required.
  • Identify areas of concern and suggest work improvements to management.
  • Escalate exceptional situations to supervisors' attention promptly.

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma in Finance, Accountancy, Banking & Financial Services or Business Administration.
  • Good understanding of debt collection and repayment processes.
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
  • Good listening skills and patience to handle difficult clients.
  • Preference given to applicants conversant in multiple languages and dialects.
