Job Title: Special Needs Caregiver

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Caregiver to join our team. As a caregiver, you will work with children and adults with disabilities, providing support and assistance with daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Provide individualized care and support to clients with varying needs and abilities">
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming">
  • Support clients with intellectual disabilities, autism, or developmental needs in adult day programs, special education, or sheltered workshops">
  • Facilitate ADL (activities of daily living), vocational tasks, or community-based instruction">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Degree in any of the following fields: Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Allied Health Support, Education or Adult Education, Early Childhood or Disability Studies">
  • WSQ Certificate in Disability Management or equivalent preferred">
  • First Aid & CPR Certification required or willing to obtain">
  • Crisis Management / Behaviour Support preferred">
  • Minimum 1 year working experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, or developmental needs">
  • Familiarity with structured teaching, visual supports, and person-centered planning">
