Job Title:

  • Plant operations and management involve ensuring the efficient operation of a wastewater treatment plant, including planning, budgeting, documentation, manpower arrangement, and managing overall plant activities.
  • Leading a team of shift operators to oversee plant operations, schedule activities without affecting clients' operations, and liaise with client maintenance teams for planned maintenance.
  • Plant health, safety, and environment (HSE) responsibilities include preparing and submitting documents as per requirements and ensuring accurate recording and updating of operation data in log books and computerized systems.
  • External interfaces involve communicating with clients on O&M and HSE matters, fulfilling contract requirements, and coordinating with external stakeholders as needed.
">Required Skills and Qualifications">
  • Industrial water/wastewater treatment technologies knowledge is essential for effective plant operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace skills is necessary for documentation, reporting, and communication.
  • Knowledge of good industrial practices in plant operation management and asset management is crucial for efficient operations.
  • Laboratory and analytical skills related to the water industry are also required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is necessary for this role.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Plant Engineer or in a similar role within a WWTP environment is required.
