Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our team. This is a mid-senior level position that requires a degree in Civil Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in design engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of civil infrastructure projects, including roadworks, drainage, and earthworks.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local regulations, safety standards, and engineering codes.
  • Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications for feasibility and constructability.
  • Develop optimized construction methodologies and technical proposals to enhance bid competitiveness.
  • Prepare method statements and technical submissions aligned with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with quantity surveyors, planners, BIM teams, and procurement to align technical strategies.
  • Interface with subcontractors and suppliers for value engineering and alternative solutions.
  • Conduct site visits and feasibility studies to identify constraints and risks.
  • Propose mitigation strategies and integrate findings into tender planning.
  • Work with BIM and planning software (e.g., Civil 3D, Primavera, MS Project) to visualize and sequence construction plans.
Requirements
  • A Degree in Civil Engineering and recognised by PE Board.
  • Min 5 to 8 years of design experience and use of Primavera P6 software.
  • Well versed in local design/code of practices and statutory requirements.
  • Experienced in infrastructural works would be an advantage.
