Key Expert in Power Technology

We are seeking a Key Expert in Power Technology to lead research and prototyping of cutting-edge power system technologies.

This role requires deep knowledge of multiple groups on the latest available technologies, new inventions, and collaboration with our Advanced Technology teams.

  • Identify and perfect new technologies for introduction to our Advanced Technology teams.
  • Lead a team to develop innovative power technologies that can be converted to working platforms within defined requirements.
  • Assess proposed technology against product specification, cost target, schedule, etc.
  • Provide technical leadership and make decisions on how to solve technical problems encountered during research and prototyping phases.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree or recent Ph.D in power systems or power electronics.
  • 7 years design experience for Masters degree, 2 years design experience for PhD degree, in high power circuits and topologies related to power supply design (Rack Server, OBC, EVFC, HVDC, Solid State Transformer concepts, etc.), and independent project design leadership experience.
  • Strong Power electronics / power supply design knowledge, and deep understanding about popular topologies such as Totem-pole PFC, Vienna PFC, T-NPC, ANPC, flyback, LLC, CLLC, DAB, etc.
  • Solid magnetics design skill and experience.
  • Familiar with AC/DC PSU EMC and Safety regulations, familiar with engineering simulation tools such as MatchCAD, SIMetrix, PSIM, PADs.
  • Self-motivated, passionate work, excellent teamwork.
