Production and Development Manager

This is a challenging role that requires a strong leader to oversee the production and development process in a factory setting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain efficient production schedules and processes to ensure optimum productivity and efficiency.
  • Hire, train, and manage production staff, including setting and monitoring performance goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new product ideas, recipes, and production processes.
  • Create and maintain accurate inventory records, manage raw material inventory levels, and minimize wastage and losses.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and industry standards, maintaining a safe working environment for employees.
  • Identify and address production issues and areas for improvement, leveraging data analysis and problem-solving skills to drive results.
  • Monitor production costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Oversee maintenance of equipment and machinery in production facilities, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Prepare and present regular production reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and suggesting areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in food production management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, quality control procedures, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with ability to analyze data, interpret reports, and utilize relevant software systems effectively.
