Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Rolling Stock Engineering Professional to provide engineering solutions to reliability problems affecting SMRT trains, engineering trains and plant equipment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting defect troubleshooting, failure analysis, reliability trending, and developing engineering solutions to the problems identified.

Additionally, the successful candidate will work effectively with operations and maintenance staff from the lines as well as other engineering departments to investigate defects, develop methods, propose modifications and improve maintenance strategies to rectify them.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and trending condition monitoring and defect data to identify reliability concerns.
  • Drafting technical work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Identifying and implementing cost-effective technologies to enhance SMRT trains, engineering trains and plant equipment performances.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Previous railway system experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as a team effectively adjusting oneself flexibly to different work situations.
  • Fluent in written and oral communication skills in English.
