High Power Electromagnetics Engineer Job Description


Our organisation develops technological solutions to enhance Singapore's national security. We're seeking a skilled High Power Electromagnetics Engineer to join our team.


Job Description:

As a High Power Electromagnetics Engineer, you will conduct research and development in high power electromagnetic areas such as circuitries or devices that generate high power electromagnetic fields.

You will analyse specifications/requirements from users and use analytical techniques or computational modelling to validate the design of the circuitries or devices as well as to understand the effect of high-power electromagnetics on electronics.

Additionally, you will design, develop test plan, conduct experiment and analyse results on high power electromagnetic experiments and identify any gaps.

You will support the complete R&D project life cycle and participate in all phases from concepts to demonstrations, including design, prototyping and validation and refinement of designs.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

PhD/Masters/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.

Familiarity with software simulation tools such as CST, Solidworks etc., operating measurement equipment such as oscilloscope, vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzer etc. and high voltage equipment/component such as power supply, spark gap switches, semiconductor switches and diodes is necessary.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
