Job Title: Procurement Strategist for Medical Equipment Sourcing

We are seeking a highly skilled procurement strategist to oversee the sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization of materials and components critical to medical equipment manufacturing.

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for raw materials, components, and services used in medical equipment production.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and compliance.
  • Analyze market trends, conduct cost breakdowns, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies(e.g dual sourcing, inventory planning)
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders to resolve critical supply chain disruptions.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to source materials that meet design and regulatory requirements.
  • Support new product development (NPD) by sourcing new items and ensuring cost optimization and manufacturability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Material, or related field). MBA/Supply Chain certification is a plus.
  • 8-10 years in procurement/sourcing, preferably in medical devices, pharma, or a highly regulated industry.
  • Proficiency in supplier quality management. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficient in both English and Mandarin is required.
