System Support Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for VisionPLUS 10 (Flex) system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to ensure the smooth operation of the system.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the system, including identifying and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on system configuration, troubleshooting procedures, and other relevant information.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar L1 support role, preferably in banking or card systems.
  • Strong understanding of VisionPLUS 10 (Flex) architecture and core modules.
  • Exposure to JCL, COBOL, VSAM, CICS.
  • Experience with Microfocus environment (Flex), including Linux commands, WinSCP, Putty, DMC, Scheduler for Open Technologies.
  • Knowledge of SQL/DB2 and log analysis.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices is a plus.
