About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Vendor Performance Partner Manager to join our AWS Infrastructure Partner Management (IPM) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing relationships with AWS's colocation providers and driving service improvements across a global portfolio of infrastructure deployments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Cross-Organizational Business Reviews: Collaborate with teams across AWS to lead business reviews with key infrastructure providers, driving improvements in service performance and reducing infrastructure risk.
  • Develop and Implement Risk Reduction Solutions: Lead the development and implementation of infrastructure risk reduction and mitigation solutions, ensuring the highest level of service quality for our internal customers.
  • Identify and Drive Improvement Initiatives: Identify areas for improvement and drive targeted initiatives to raise service performance with specific vendors, ensuring alignment with AWS's business objectives.
  • Manage Commercial and Operational Relationships: Manage the commercial and operational relationships with key infrastructure vendors, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective issue resolution.
  • Empower Internal Customer Teams: Facilitate issue resolution and ongoing performance improvement efforts with key infrastructure vendors, empowering internal customer teams like Operations and Security.
  • Lead Design and Implementation of Projects: Lead the design and implementation of projects, initiatives, and process improvements that deliver better experiences for internal customers and our vendor partners, scaling how the team manages its responsibilities.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Act as a subject matter expert on AWS's commercial relationship with infrastructure vendors and on these vendors' overall service performance, providing valuable insights and recommendations.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements experience
  • 3+ years of vendor management experience
  • 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
  • Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
  • English and Chinese Language Skills
  • Business Level or Higher
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
  • Experience delivering Lean/Six Sigma projects, including needs assessment, business case creation, scope definition, project planning, and project implementation
  • Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting
