Site Operations Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Site Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction site, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for:

• Conducting regular checks on the stock-in and stock-out of materials within Suppliers' stockyard to conform within contract requirements
• Conducting joint samplings with suppliers on Materials quality testing and sending of samples to the Approved Laboratory in accordance with Supply contract requirements and approved Standard
• Checking, collating and compiling all necessary supporting and shipping documents such as permits, Bill of Lading, cargo clearance, etc to be in compliance with supply contract requirements
• Compiling and preparing monthly shipments schedule of all Materials' suppliers. Taking necessary action to inform the Project Manager and/or the SO Rep on irregularities found in all Materials' supplier's shipments or source related matters
• Ensuring and updating on daily contingency stock buffer in Supplier stockyard as required in Supply contract requirement
• Conducting measurements of moisture content as stipulated in supply contract requirements and update the record diligently and regularly
• Ensuring no manual entry of weight data in the sales system for material delivery and no tempering of sales system that is deemed against the requirements of the supply contract for Material Suppliers
• Monitoring the Material Suppliers' daily material dispatch progress and immediately follow-up with the Material Suppliers to rectify slow delivery should the Material Suppliers fail to deliver the material in accordance with the Construction Contractors' daily orders schedule
• Preparing and updating daily site status report (and/or other reports deem necessary by the SO Rep) to the Project Manager for onwards submission to the SO Rep
• Conducting regular audit checks on the sales procedures of Material suppliers, sales system, weighbridge calibration, delivery truck fleets, etc and highlight non-compliances to project managers and/or SO Rep
• Collating and managing the daily returns of delivery orders and DOS files from HDB Materials' suppliers to the Managing Agent sales team
• Analysing test reports and follow-up for rejected goods; and
• Ensuring the execution of Supply and Works are as described in the Specifications and deemed necessary for the successful completion of the Contract.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• A GCE 'O' Level with at least one year of relevant working experience in the building materials supply industry; or
• Possess a GCE 'N' Level with at least two years of relevant working experience in the building materials supply industry and possess good command of written and spoken English

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with experience in supervising teams and managing projects.

They will also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

The candidate must have a strong knowledge of building materials and construction processes, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.

They will also require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
