About the RoleThis is a leadership position that requires you to manage the structural scope of construction projects from design development to construction stage. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure buildability, constructability, and minimize clashes throughout the process.
Your Key Responsibilities- Coordinate structural drawings with architects, engineers, and specialist trades to ensure seamless integration.
- Develop value engineering proposals throughout the construction process to optimize costs and efficiency.
- Establish rebar ratio discipline and guidelines to maintain consistency across projects.
- Serve as the main point of contact between design consultants and construction teams to facilitate effective communication.
- Lead design coordination meetings to resolve technical issues promptly and ensure design quality and intent are maintained during construction.
- Resolve discrepancies between design and site conditions to prevent delays and rework.
- Oversee submission of structural shop drawings, material approvals, and as-built drawings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Education: Degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in structural coordination or design for residential projects in Singapore.
- Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of Singapore building codes, BCA regulations, authority submission process, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with precast and advanced construction methods.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Strong coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
