Job Title: Store Design Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Design Project Manager to join our team at Aesop. As a key member of our store development team, you will be responsible for managing the design and construction of new stores and refurbishments across the South East Asia region.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of architectural briefs, specific to projects
  • Collaborative approach to design, engaging in conversations around stakeholder comments
  • Embedding self within the global design world, remaining informed on contemporary and historical design precedents
  • Project managing creative solutions for street and shopping mall retail stores and department stores in the SEA region
  • Managing the expectations of key stakeholders for each project, including design and commercial expectations
  • Leading project management of stores and special projects assigned to an external or internal architect
  • Surveying prospective locations, providing architectural and construction feedback to Aesop HO and Region Asia
  • Providing Aesop feedback to external architects through written and visual communication
  • Monitoring budgets and construction schedules, reporting back to Regional Asia
  • Drafting, reviewing, and approving design and construction contracts
  • Organising permitting, engineering, and other external services required for building and occupancy permits
  • Conducting internal post-mortem on projects, outlining successes and areas of development
  • Liaising with external consultants and contractors involved on a project
  • Procuring Aesop supplied fixtures and fittings relative to each project
Requirements:
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in design and construction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and team members
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and deadlines
