Transform Lives as an Addiction Counsellor

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of individuals affected by addiction? If so, we invite you to join our dedicated team as a Counsellor.
As a Counsellor in our Restorative Care Department, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that delivers timely social interventions addressing root causes and reducing re-offending. Our goal is to promote rehabilitation and life transformation through evidence-based programmes and services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide information and referral services for offenders, ex-offenders, and their next of kin on addiction issues.
- Conduct risk assessments, social investigations, case formulations, and intervention plans as part of counselling and case management.
- Deliver face-to-face individual and group counselling, and conduct workshops for offenders, ex-offenders, and their families on addiction issues.
- Prepare and submit reports and case recordings in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and liaise with stakeholders to ensure related matters are followed up and resolved.
- A degree in Counselling recognised by the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).
- At least two years of experience working with offenders and ex-offenders is highly desirable.
- Certification in Substance Addiction Counselling (CSAC) or familiarity with Motivational Interviewing and Windows on Addiction will be given priority.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills in English and one other local language; ability to engage with families from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
