Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals affected by addiction? If so, join our Restorative Care Department (RCD). We deliver timely social interventions that address root causes and reduce re-offending, promoting rehabilitation and life transformation through our programmes and services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information and referral services for offenders, ex-offenders, and their next of kin on addiction issues.
  • Conduct risk assessment, social investigation, case formulation, and intervention planning as part of counselling and case management.
  • Deliver face-to-face individual and group counselling, and conduct workshops for offenders, ex-offenders, and their families on addiction issues.
  • Prepare and submit reports and case recordings in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and liaise with stakeholders to ensure related matters are followed up and resolved.

Requirements

  • Degree in Counselling recognised by the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).
  • At least two years of experience working with offenders and ex-offenders is an asset.
  • Certified Substance Addiction Counsellor (CSAC) with APSAC or familiarity with Motivational Interviewing and Windows on Addiction will be given priority.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills in English and one other local language; ability to engage with families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Position is on a 1-year contract basis.
