About This Role

Community Development Specialist sought to join a dynamic team in Singapore.

We are seeking a Community Development Specialist to support the expansion of various community programs, including Repair Kopitiam, across multiple locations in Singapore. The successful candidate will work closely with local communities to improve resilience and build support for sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Volunteer Management: Assist with volunteer registration, recruit and organize training of volunteers, onboard and deploy volunteers effectively, translate core principles to each location, and schedule management of manpower resources.
  • Program Venue Management: Oversee logistics for each location, coordinate with venue organizers, prepare venue resources, manage customer queries, collect data for impact measurement, and set up new venues.
  • Administrative Tasks: Co-manage website content, manage customer queries through voice calls, text messages, emails, and Facebook messages, communicate with stakeholders, assist with ad-hoc community events, prepare marketing collaterals, and other tasks.
Requirements
  • Minimum ITE qualification in any discipline (Engineering or Social Work is an added advantage).
  • Teamwork within the team and across departments.
  • Effective time and stress management.
  • Multi-tasking in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Able to work on weekends.
Work Hours
  • 5-days a week from Tuesdays to Fridays, and at least 1 weekend either Saturday or Sunday.
