Job Description

The Building and Construction Authority champions a future-ready built environment for Singapore. Our mission is to shape a safe, high-quality, sustainable and friendly built environment.

We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role in making a difference to Singapore's built environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for formulating recommendations on policy and programmes related to engineering/technology in Lifts and Escalators and Amusement Rides.

Responsibilities
  • Strategize, plan and coordinate stakeholders' engagement to manage related issues such as aging equipment
  • Design strategic communications to shape and influence stakeholders' behavior
  • Research and identify areas of new technologies and develop strategies to tackle existing challenges
  • Review and streamline existing policies and programmes or develop new ones
  • Carry out field inspection and investigation of incidents
Requirements

A degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering from a recognized university is required. Registered or attaining registration as a professional mechanical or electrical engineer with the relevant board is an advantage.

At least 3 years of relevant experience in working with policy and planning teams in areas related to engineering and/or technology is necessary.

A collaborative attitude and ability to work well in a diverse team is essential.
