Transformational Engineer, Built Environment Sector

The Building and Construction Authority champions the development of a future-ready built environment for Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate policy recommendations related to engineering/technology in Lifts and Escalators and Amusement Rides.

  • Strategise stakeholder engagement to manage aging equipment issues.

  • Design strategic communications to shape stakeholders' behaviour.

  • Research new technologies to tackle existing challenges.

  • Review and streamline policies and programmes.

In addition to these roles, you will review designs and conformance to safety standards and carry out field inspections as required.

Requirements

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering from a recognised university.

  • Registration as a professional mechanical or electrical engineer is an advantage.

  • At least 3 years of experience working with policy and planning teams in areas related to engineering and/or technology.

  • A strategic thinker with collaborative attitude and strong communication skills.

  • Able to manage and engage internal and external stakeholders.
