Job Description

As a key member of our team at Careers@Gov, we are seeking a highly skilled Industry Engagement Manager to champion workforce transformation and reskilling needs of the integrated facilities management and environmental services industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Manpower Planning
    • Identify and assess key industry and manpower challenges and skills needs
    • Engage strategic accounts and diagnose gaps and identify opportunities
    • Recommend the design of appropriate strategic human capital solutions based on industry or enterprises' business and manpower needs
    • Support the Industry Transformation Map (ITM) and Jobs Transformation Map (JTM)
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Management
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders
    • Collaborate with industry stakeholders to develop and implement relevant manpower interventions
    • Consult with employers to promote adoption of WSG programmes and progressive human resource practices
    • Develop deep understanding of employers' hiring demands and recommend suitable candidate profiles
    • Coordinate with employers on hiring outcome and monitor sector hiring demand
  • Project Management
    • Plan and review budget requirements and ensure compliance to policies and processes
    • Organise outreach and marketing events such as career events and industry engagements
    • Track programmes' progress and analyse industry related information to evaluate and make recommendations
Requirements
  • Industry Engagement and Business Development
    • Effective stakeholder engagement with a focus on account/project management or consultancy
    • Able to proactively source information and utilise trend analysis to drive business strategies
  • Written and Verbal Communication
    • Proficient in writing clear submissions and reports
    • Able to frame narratives to effectively engage diverse audiences
  • Negotiation
    • Able to strategize negotiation and engage in complex discussion to drive collaboration and implementation
  • Personal Effectiveness
    • Able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
    • Work both independently and in teams
  • Critical Thinking and Data Proficiency
    • Proficient in synthesizing information for decision-making and outcome monitoring
    • Capable of making policy and strategic recommendations based on industry insights
