Chemical Fertiliser Trade Specialist

The Role:

  • You will begin your journey by understudying the Trading Manager and understanding their plans, actions, and techniques for wholesale buying and selling of chemical fertilisers.
  • Over time, you will build knowledge in customer and supplier relations, business and product development, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market/industry research and analysis and propose trade ideas.
  • Design and prepare marketing materials.
  • Prepare sales and purchase contract documents.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of trade transactions.
  • Collaborate with the China Office on various trade matters.
  • Record, pack, and store inventory samples.
  • Familiarise yourself with Incoterms as you will need to work closely with the Operations Team on shipment matters.
  • Provide administrative support to a small team of Traders.
  • Assist the Trading Manager to coordinate matters such as leave, overseas work trips, and meetings.
  • Participate in client entertainment and relationship building.
  • May be required to travel overseas for conferences.

We are looking for the one who:

  • Possesses strong analytical, negotiation, comprehension, and problem-solving skills.
  • Pays attention to people and details.
  • Is business savvy
  • Is able to converse fluently in Mandarin and write in Chinese as you will need to liaise with the China Office.
  • Has a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business/Economics/Finance, from a reputable university. Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.
