Assistant Engineer Job

This is a compelling opportunity to work as an Assistant Engineer on the live railway. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring their team's safety while carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities at trackside or onboard a train.

Job Description:
  • Maintain equipment that moves trains safely in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain signalling assets such as Signals, Points, Track Circuits, and their controlling systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to failures, collaborating with other departments to rectify issues, using diagrams, tools, and electrical equipment for fault diagnosis and maintenance, following standards and company policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Railway Systems or related qualifications is advantageous.
Essential Skills:
  • Organize and control the safe and efficient delivery of work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques specific to the discipline.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards, procedures, and instructions.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
