
Chargeback Resolution Expert

This is a critical position in our Cards Operations – Chargeback Unit where you will play a key role in ensuring each chargeback case is reviewed and handled accurately and promptly.
The main goal of this job is to process chargebacks, which are disputes raised by customers regarding credit/debit card transactions, and ensure they are resolved within strict timelines set by regulators or card schemes.
- Analyzing various chargeback scenarios and applying banking rules (like Visa/Mastercard) to evaluate each situation fairly.
- Processing chargeback requests in the bank's internal systems to recover funds or reject claims if not valid.
- Performing data entry, managing documentation, and supporting project-related tasks to maintain accurate records and support team operations.
In addition to handling chargebacks, you will also contribute ideas to improve operational efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance turnaround time. You may also assist with automation or digitization initiatives to help the bank modernize and streamline chargeback handling processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and resolve customer queries and feedback related to chargeback cases.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of cases.
- Support cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive business outcomes.
- A recognized diploma in a relevant field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think objectively and 'think outside the box' when analyzing issues.
- Meticulous with an eye for details and quality mindset.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word & Powerpoint.
