Desktop Support Specialist

As a Desktop Support specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operation of computer systems and peripherals. Your primary responsibility will be to handle tickets that require onsite support, respond to client support requests, and conduct thorough analysis to understand the nature of their problems.

Your role will involve troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and maintaining computer peripherals, and upgrading operating systems and software. You will also be expected to troubleshoot networking and connection issues, advise on software and hardware upgrades, and provide basic training in computer operation and management.

In addition, you will be instrumental in incident management, change management, and problem management. It is essential that you have a working knowledge and provide support for SAP, Microsoft software and hardware, and networking. Familiarity with Networks, AD, DNS, DHCP, and Cloud backup will be advantageous in this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues
  • Ability to install and maintain computer peripherals
  • Knowledge of operating systems and software upgrades
  • Networking and connection issue troubleshooting
  • Basic training in computer operation and management
  • Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft software and hardware, and networking
