Job DescriptionWe seek a highly skilled Residence Mentor to join our team of professionals who share our passion for student development. As a key member of our boarding operations team, you will work closely with the Head of Boarding to create a positive living and learning environment that promotes student growth and development.
Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain a supportive atmosphere for student learning and development within the boarding community.
- Nurture the social-emotional development of each boarder through active listening and guidance.
- Develop and conduct boarding programs and activities that cater to diverse interests and needs.
- Manage discipline and ensure the safety and security of boarders, while maintaining open communication with parents and teachers.
In this role, you will be required to perform administrative tasks, respond to queries, and provide support as needed. You will also be responsible for leading by example, demonstrating empathy and patience, and fostering a sense of community among boarders.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Minimum diploma holder with 1-2 years of relevant working experience preferred.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in English.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Please note that residing within the Boarding residence is required, with working hours from Mondays to Fridays (3 pm - 11 pm) and scheduled morning duties from 8 am to 4 pm (1-2 times per fortnight). Monthly weekend duties will also be involved.
Salary: SGD $4500 - $6000 per month
