**Design Technologist Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled Design Technologist to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing computational / AI methods in Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) domains.

">

The ideal candidate will research and prototype implementations of emerging digital technologies that can be harnessed in the AEC.

">

The Design Technologist will regularly document and explain decisions made in creating the prototype, and work in a team to actively contribute new ideas, technologies and insights regarding the development of AEC tech.

">

The role also involves periodically attaching to Architectural Design teams throughout the building design lifecycle to immerse in building design tasks, discover pain points and test solution prototypes.

">

Additionally, the Design Technologist will schedule and organize user research / testing / feedback sessions.

">

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Revit + Dynamo, Rhino + Grasshopper, or other parametric design software">
  • Proficiency in Python, Typescript, C#/.NET">
  • Proficiency in version control using Git">
  • Experience in UI/UX">
">

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in Linux">
  • Proficiency in Containers e.g., Docker, Podman, Kubernetes">
">

Familiarity with:

  • IFC (Industry Foundation Class) Spec">
  • APIs for Revit, Rhino, QGIS, Blender, SketchUp">
  • Web application development">
  • API development">
