Job Description:

The School of Materials Science and Engineering at NTU is seeking a Project Officer to lead a research project focused on microstructural tailoring for enhanced hydrogen embrittlement resistance.

As a key member of the research team, you will participate in conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and developing reports that summarize research findings.

The role involves working closely with the research team to ensure timely completion of deliverables, maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies, and assisting in the preparation of high-quality reports and documents.

  • Preparing TEM specimens and conducting failure analysis to correlate hydrogen response with microstructure
  • Maintenance of lab or equipment or supplies, including procurement and liaison with suppliers
  • Assisting or producing high-quality reports and documents consolidating research findings

Key Responsibilities:

1. Participate in the conduct of research projects with the research team to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

2. Prepare TEM specimens, conduct failure analysis, and correlate hydrogen response with microstructure.

3. Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, including procurement and liaison with suppliers.

4. Assist or produce high-quality reports and documents consolidating research findings.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in materials science and engineering.

At least 1 year of relevant experience in similar roles or technical hands-on experience in specific scopes.

Familiarity with required scope (e.g., national codes and standards).

Good written and oral communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills.
