We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to contribute to our project focused on Quantum magnets and magnon thermal Hall effect. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing microscopic models for magnon excitations and numerical methods.

  • Numerical and analytic studies of the magnon thermal Hall effect for experimental detection are essential.
  • Experience in 2D materials is highly desirable.
  • A PhD degree in Physics or related areas, with focus on Condensed matter physics, is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are necessary for data analysis and communication with stakeholders.
  • A strong publication record is expected.

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at NTU Singapore hosts research and education activities in two divisions: Division of Mathematical Sciences and Division of Physics and Applied Physics. Our team covers diverse topics ranging from pure mathematics to the applications of mathematics in cryptography, computing, business, and finance. We are looking for a talented individual to join our laboratory as a Research Fellow. Your primary responsibility will be to develop the microscopic models for magnon excitations for various experimental systems.
