Job Summary:

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to source raw materials, components, and services related to PCBA and box-build manufacturing. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement principles, supplier management, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service capabilities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery times, and cost-effectiveness, and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Oversee daily procurement activities, ensuring timely and accurate purchasing of materials and components.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to forecast material requirements and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excesses.
  • Manage purchase orders, ensuring all documentation is accurate and aligned with company policies.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of materials and manage any issues related to shipping, customs, or warehousing.
  • Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices.
  • Analyze market trends and pricing fluctuations to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Implement cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining the quality and reliability of supply.
  • Monitor and report on procurement expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
  • Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and support team members in achieving their objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of procurement experience in the electronics manufacturing industry, with specific expertise in PCBA and box-build operations.
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost-reduction initiatives.
