Training and Development Specialist

Join a dynamic team as a Training and Development Specialist, where you will design, develop, and deliver high-quality training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of rail staff. Your expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design, and training delivery will help create engaging and interactive training sessions that meet the stipulated training needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) activities, with a minimum of 10 years of working experience in this field. Additionally, they will possess excellent communication, writing, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coach and facilitate training sessions.

  • Responsibilities:
  • To design, develop, and evaluate new or updated training programs, including presentations, manuals, and other resources.
  • To prepare training materials, lesson plans, and assessment plans in accordance with established standards.
  • To deliver engaging and interactive training and assessment sessions using various instructional techniques and formats.
  • To research the use of technology to enhance training efficiency and effectiveness.
  • To administer course conduct using the Learning Management System.
  • To perform course reviews and continuous improvement on training materials, pedagogy, and assessment methods.
  • Requirements:
  • Certified in ACTA/ACLP & DACE/DDDLP or related discipline degree.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in systems MRO activities.
  • 4 years of working experience in training development activities.
  • Knowledge of safety and maintenance practices in the MRO context.
  • Proficient in hand skills of performing MRO activities.
  • Strong communication, writing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Coaching and facilitation skills.
  • Conversant in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
