The National Institute of Education (NIE) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Continuing Education and Training. As a key member of our Office of Graduate Studies & Professional Learning, you will play a critical role in strengthening the growth of Continuing Education and Training (CET) at NIE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for new programs and courses, ensuring alignment with NIE's vision and mission.
  • Review and enhance certifications and courses to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for program and course management, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage budgets and resources for CET programs, ensuring effective use of funds and optimal outcomes.
  • Secure additional funding from external sources to support CET programs and initiatives.
  • Provide secretariat support for meetings with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote CET programs and services.
  • Manage course scheduling, application, and admission processes, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Implement and enhance IT systems to support CET operations, ensuring data integrity and security.

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 4 to 7 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in an educational institution.
  • Experience and knowledge of Continuing Education and Training in Singapore, including SSG processes.
  • Knowledge of policies, guidelines, and procedures related to offering micro-credential programs.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including experience in teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable.
  • Proficient in proposal, report, and minutes writing.
  • Proficient in making and delivering presentations.
  • Proficient in using IT tools such as Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
