We are seeking an experienced Application Support Lead to join a leading banking institution.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong application support background with prior experience in leading a team. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our banking applications, and involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • • Lead the application support function for various banking systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
    • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for production issues using Java and SQL (Level 3)
    • Monitor application health, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes and preventive measures.
    • Manage incident and problem management processes in alignment with ITIL standards and banking SLAs.
    • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure seamless support and continuous improvement of banking applications.
    • Drive automation and process optimization to enhance support efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
    • Maintain detailed support documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles for internal use.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • • Minimum 10 years of experience in application development and support, with strong hands-on expertise in Java and SQL.
    • Proven experience working in the banking or financial services domain, with knowledge of core banking systems and compliance requirements.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage high-pressure production environments.
    • Experience with incident management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) and monitoring solutions (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics).
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor team members and coordinate with stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with ITIL processes is highly desirable.
    • Experience with cloud environment is a plus
    • Singapore citizen or Singapore Permanent Residents
