Event Partnership Specialist

We are seeking a proactive and organized individual with a passion for innovation, event management, and collaboration.

Job Description:

As an Event Partnership Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the inaugural youth hackathon. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating event logistics from preparation to execution, promoting the hackathon to schools and participants, and liaising with vendors and service providers on event-related requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Planning and Logistics:
    • Assist with preparation and execution of event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audio-visual equipment.
    • Support outreach efforts to promote the hackathon to schools and participants, using social media, email marketing, and other channels.
    • Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of event-related services.
  • Partnership and Stakeholder Management:
    • Support partner involvement, including mentors, judges, and funding contributors, by providing updates on event progress and coordination.
    • Assist in preparing partnership decks, communications, and briefing materials to facilitate effective collaboration.
    • Provide on-site support to ensure a smooth experience for partners and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Polytechnic or undergraduate student from a relevant field, such as business administration, social sciences, marketing, event management, or communications.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Interest or prior experience in event planning, outreach, or partnership management is highly advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office and design software; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is desired.
  • Able to work independently with initiative, but also a good team player.
  • Candidate should ideally commit through November 2025 to support the hackathon's preparation and execution.
