Operations Executive Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a renowned global Agri-commodities trader with over 3 decades of experience in the market. We are looking for a talented and experienced professional to be based in our Singapore HQ as Operations Executive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare shipping documents by Letters of Credit and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure shipping documents, including Letters of Credit, are set up/received on time as per contracts and for negotiation.
  • Handle shipments by bulk vessels.
  • Work closely with the Team head, Traders, Origination desks, and Shipping desk.
  • Supervise and coordinate operations activities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team and execute high-risk, large-value contracts in a hands-on way.

As Operations Executive, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business. You will work closely with our teams to achieve our goals and objectives. If you have a passion for international trade and commodities, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Requirements:
  • A minimum GCE 'A' level/Diploma in International Trade in Import & Export would be an advantage.
  • 4-6 years of experience in an Agri-Business/Trading Company (ideally dealing with soft commodities).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word & Excel.
  • Knowledge of GAFTA and FOSFA will be an advantage.
  • Intensive experience in ICC rules for Letters of Credit is compulsory.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and International trade.
  • Good understanding of commodity trading.
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, analytical mind, independent thinker.
