Job Title:
The National Cancer Centre Singapore Division of Medical Oncology is seeking a dedicated Coordinator to join their team.

About the Role:

The Lung Cancer Education and Advocacy for Patients (LEAP) programme aims to educate and empower patients. The team consists of clinicians, scientists, research coordinators/patient navigators, and supportive nurses to take care of research and patient care.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Navigation
    • Review new patients in clinic to understand their health background, current health literacy, and psychosocial profile to assess their immediate needs and make appropriate recommendations and referrals.
    • Provide basic cancer and health-related recommendations to prepare patients for their cancer journey.
  • Treatment Support
    • Schedule treatments and manage common side effects of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and immunotherapy.
    • Provide dietary counselling during chemotherapy.
    • Explain and reiterate rationale for genetics/fertility referrals.
  • Patient Support and Education
    • Assist patients with queries post-consultation through various channels.
    • Update patient database to track patient progress.
    • Provide patient education via social media and events.

Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant discipline preferably life science.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Good communication and people skills compassionate and empathic.
