Accounting and Regulatory Reporting Role

This role is responsible for reviewing journal entries, examining general ledger balances, and identifying anomalies.

  • Daily reconciliation of liquidity and funding positions involves verifying the accuracy of financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Reconciliation of bank account balances, loans, and deposits ensures that all financial transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
  • The preparation of internal daily reports, including liquidity risk monitoring, enables timely identification and mitigation of potential financial risks.
  • The preparation of financial statements (profit and loss statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) provides stakeholders with a comprehensive understanding of the organization's financial performance.
  • Maintenance of supporting schedules and account-level documentation facilitates accurate financial reporting and audit preparedness.
  • Drafting and validation of footnotes to financial statements enhances transparency and accountability in financial reporting.
  • Preparation, review, and scheduling of MAS regulatory reports ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitates effective communication with regulators.
  • Collaboration with the Risk Department on ECL provisioning and related calculations supports informed decision-making and risk management.
  • As the first point of contact in external audits, you will manage audit timelines, prepare requested documents, and respond to queries to ensure a smooth audit process.

Requirements include:

  • Minimum 5~10 years of experience in accounting and financial settlement operations in a Bank or Financial Institution;
  • Min 1-3 years of experience in regulatory operations such as MAS reporting;
  • SCA/ACCA/ICAEW/USCPA certification is preferred.
