We are seeking a diligent and motivated professional to assist in overseeing vessel operations at port, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant loading, unloading, and logistics activities for project cargo. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in maritime operations within a dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the senior port captain(s) to coordinate stowage, lifting, and lashing plans. Additionally, they will monitor and supervise loading and unloading operations of project cargo, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and port requirements.
This role requires effective communication with port authorities, vessel crews, as well as internal and external stakeholders. The coordinator must also maintain accurate documentation and support troubleshooting operational issues and proposing solutions.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate stowage, lifting, and lashing plans with senior port captains
- Monitor and supervise loading and unloading operations of project cargo
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and port requirements
- Communicate effectively with port authorities, vessel crews, and internal/external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Support troubleshooting operational issues and proposing solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, or related field preferred
- Basic understanding of maritime operations and port procedures
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure
- Attention to detail and safety consciousness
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as required
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Proactive attitude and problem-solving skills
