Migrant Worker Advocate

Maintaining a database of volunteers and/or migrant workers. Supporting in engaging volunteers and/or migrant workers. Supporting MWC's Case work related to the volunteers and/or migrant workers. Supporting in manning and operating MWC's premises. Supporting volunteers and/or migrant workers, when the need arises. Liaising with vendors and stakeholders to carry out activities. Supporting MWC to monitor effectiveness of our programmes and recommend new activities that may be beneficial for volunteers and/or migrant workers. Supporting MWC in other areas when the need arises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer and/or migrant worker engagement.
- Support case work initiatives for volunteers and/or migrant workers.
- Contribute to the efficient operation of MWC's premises.
- Assist in liaising with vendors and stakeholders for programme implementation.
- Collaborate with MWC to assess programme effectiveness and propose improvements.
Requirements:
- Diploma holder in any discipline.
- Any experience in engaging migrant workers would be advantageous.
- Able to carry out assigned tasks independently.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and collaboratively with professionalism, integrity, and cultural sensitivity.
- Passionate about advocating for migrant workers' rights and maintaining a positive outlook.
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in at least one of the migrant worker languages.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work on weekends (alternative Saturday or Sunday).
- Responsive to urgent incidents at irregular hours.
- Valid Class 3 driving license preferred.
