This role is part of a prestigious initiative aimed at championing fair employment practices and promoting the well-being of migrant workers in Singapore.

The Migrant Workers' Centre (MWC) is a non-governmental organisation established in 2009 as a bipartite collaboration between the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF).

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Operational Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing regular engagement activities for MWC's Migrant Worker Volunteers (Ambassadors), including educational workshops, skills training, social and festive events, volunteer-led ground outreach, and peer support initiatives.

Your primary goal will be to enhance programme support and reach by liaising with dorm operators, employers, government agencies, NGOs, donors, and sponsors. You will also coordinate with partners to bring value-added services to MWC events and volunteer-led activities.

As an Operational Specialist, you will maintain and regularly update the volunteer database using Microsoft Excel, ensuring accuracy in volunteer records and activity tracking. You will also serve as a feedback channel for volunteers to raise ground concerns and suggestions, consolidating and escalating relevant feedback to the appropriate authorities or internal departments as necessary.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with professionalism, integrity, and cultural sensitivity. A degree in any discipline is required, with entry-level candidates welcome; candidates with at least 2 years of relevant experience will have an advantage.

Able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English, and proficient in at least one migrant worker language, you will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and supporting cross-functional organisational needs. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential, while possession of a valid Class 3 driving licence is an advantage.

This role is primarily based at Migrant Workers' Centre Recreation Centre, offering a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of migrant workers in Singapore.
