Key Responsibilities

This role reports directly to the Head of Operational & Fraud Risk and is part of the CRO organization. As a 2nd line of defence, you will support the management and oversight of all risks within Operations Risk.

  • Ensure the Bank's Operational Risk Management Framework is robust and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and execute the Operational Risk strategy, aligning it with the Bank's overall strategy.
  • Design and implement an Operational Risk Framework, encompassing strategy, governance, business engagement, policy, and awareness.
  • Lead the design of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment Process tailored to a Digital Bank.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Product, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure systems and processes are resilient and compliant.
  • Provide guidance to the first line on identifying and managing Operational Risks.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements in Singapore and ensure they are embedded in relevant processes.
  • Be responsible for regulatory reporting to our regulators.
  • Foster understanding of Operational risk requirements within the Bank and support the OR team in delivering high-quality audit outcomes.
Role Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Accountancy, Banking, Finance, Business, or Law, or a relevant professional qualification in financial services.
  • 6-10 years of experience in financial services or the tech sector, with 3-5 years in Operational risk management.
  • A good understanding of technology and retail products in the digital banking space.
  • Knowledge of deploying risk assessment techniques using data analytics.
  • Influencing skills and ability to manage working relationships with 1st LoD colleagues.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Previous experience in managing Fraud in a 1st LoD or 2nd LoD capacity is an advantage.
