We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Vice President, Regional Construction, Asia to lead our construction team in Asia. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of our construction business in the region.
Key Responsibilities- Market Approach and Tenders: Develop and drive the strategic direction for market approach and tenders, leading to successful placements and account management.
- Market Negotiations and Placements: Lead market negotiations and placements, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- Technical Broking: Act as a technical broking resource to the rest of the Asia Construction team and other Marsh Client Executives, advising on best technical practices and engaging in knowledge transfer to junior team members.
- Relationship Building: Facilitate relationship building with key internal stakeholders in local offices as well as Client Executives, ensuring strong partnerships and collaborations.
- Account Management: Manage major technical projects, such as project financing, complex contract reviews, and bespoke placement structures, ensuring successful outcomes for our clients.
- Solutions Portfolio: Build a strong understanding of our solutions portfolio, a deep understanding of the Marsh Construction customer value proposition, and our key differentiators.
- Client Claims: Oversee the progression of client claims, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Experience: Strong experience in market and client management, with demonstrated experience managing challenging clients and placements.
- Construction Insurance: Advanced understanding of construction insurance and brokerage business and the associated risk landscape, with more than ten years of construction insurance market experience or similar tenure in another specialist line of insurance.
- Technical Broking: Proven technical broking skill to manage complex renewals, with deep underwriter relationships and an established positive reputation in the insurance market.
- Leadership: Confidence operating at the CEO/Exec level with appropriate gravitas, with the experience and capability to present to small and large audiences, both internally and externally.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Process Orientation: Process-oriented and able to prioritize projects and deliverables, with a clear understanding of a project life cycle and the key criteria for successful execution.
- Commercial Credibility: Commercially credible with the ability to express value propositions and cost benefits, with a proven record of driving growth, delivering strong financial results, and providing excellent client service.
- Negotiating and Influencing Skills: Strong negotiating and influencing skills, alongside a collaborative approach to building and delivering success.
- Self-Motivation and Enthusiasm: Self-motivated and enthusiastic, combined with a positive attitude.
