Senior Design Engineer

Job Title:
Senior Design Engineer - Hull Outfitting.

This role is for a renowned organization with extensive experience in the marine and offshore industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions that meet Class and Technical specification requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop structural design to ensure compliance with assigned schedule, Class, and Technical specifications.
  2. Deliver project design drawings and documents according to project plan schedules.
  3. Review external designers' pre-contract technical specifications, general arrangement, and drawing lists.
  4. Liaise with Owners and Classification Societies for specific design requirement compliance, review, and approval.
  5. Prepare arrangement & detail outfitting drawings.
  6. Develop and update weight reports (weight and center of gravity).
  7. Coordinate with detail designers/production designers and check their processes and output.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in marine/offshore industry Detail Design for Hull Outfitting newbuilding engineering design.
  • Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/Microsoft Office/Aveva.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with safety and architectural outfitting coverage.
