Job Title: Senior Electrical Control Systems Specialist

A highly skilled Instrumentation and Control Engineer is required to carry out key responsibilities such as instrument and control concept design, feasibility studies, and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement instrument and control architecture and block diagrams, specifications, and data sheets.
  • Select and evaluate instrument and control equipment and systems such as DCS, SIS, FGS, PLC, SCADA, TGS, MMS, FAS, PAGA, CCTV, Telecom, Cybersecurity, and other sub-systems.
  • Carry out site surveys for greenfield and brownfield projects and generate site survey reports, instrument and control tie-in plans, and schedules.
  • Participate in HAZOP/H Hazid/SIL assessment workshops and provide inputs related to instrument and control discipline.
  • Review and comment on instrument design inputs such as P&IDs, process data for instruments, process descriptions, plot plans, equipment data sheets, and FAT/i-FAT of control systems and instruments at vendor workshops.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Focus on engineering quality and schedule.
  • Prepare engineering execution plans for the project and plan and schedule instrument and control activities to meet the overall schedule.
  • Interact with clients, interpret their needs and requirements, and align teams internally with expectations.
  • Assist in developing fit-for-purpose design and engineering quality compliance systems (workflows) including standard templates.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Carry out site surveys, field studies, and reviews as required in full compliance with safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and assist with documentation.
  • Support development of tie-in schedules and shutdown plans for I&C activities.
  • Support development of pre-commissioning/commissioning plans.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in electrical/instrument and control engineering is preferred. A minimum of ten years of related experience in project development and engineering, consulting, FEED/EPC preferably in oil & gas, power, and energy industries is required. Demonstrated proficiency in instrument and control engineering is also necessary.
