We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team in Fostering Services.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families by providing professional supervision, case management, and support.

About the Role:

  • As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing cases receiving foster care services and providing guidance and supervision to social workers and case workers.
  • You will conduct regular case discussions, statutory visits, and participate in inter-agency efforts to support the welfare and development of foster children.
  • Additionally, you will provide 24-hour hotline support for foster parents, ensure compliance with SOPs, and participate in audit processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct in-depth assessments and prepare Foster Parent Assessment Reports, presenting findings at the FAR Panel and following up on decisions and recommendations.
  2. Organize and participate in collaborative efforts to support foster placements and prevent breakdowns in care arrangements.
  3. Identify at-risk situations and develop strategies to address child safety issues and wellbeing.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of case management and support programs.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, with 2 years in a supervisory position.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Bachelor of Social Work or Masters in Social Work degree.
  • Executive functioning skills, including planning, coordinating, organizing, implementing, and evaluating.
