Job Title: Senior Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated senior culinary specialist to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for an individual with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Culinary Execution:
    • Take full responsibility for designated kitchen sections.
    • Prepare and present dishes according to brand standards for taste, quality, and presentation.
    • Ensure mise en place is consistently prepared ahead of service.
  • Kitchen Operations & Hygiene:
    • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines as per regulations and internal SOPs.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your section throughout prep and service.
    • Alert Head Chef of any discrepancies in quality, portioning, or freshness.
  • Stock & Cost Awareness:
    • Assist with daily inventory and portion control to minimize waste.
    • Monitor proper usage and storage of ingredients to ensure consistency and reduce spoilage.
    • Receiving and checking deliveries when required.
  • Team Support & Communication:
    • Work collaboratively with other kitchen stations to ensure smooth operations.
    • Guide and support junior staff.
    • Develop a positive, team-oriented work culture.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a senior culinary specialist or 3 years as a commis/senior commis in a high-paced kitchen.
  • Experience in Japanese cuisine preferred.
  • Proficiency in cooking techniques.
  • Food Hygiene certification required.
  • Ability to handle high-volume service while maintaining quality and calmness.
  • Ability to work flexible hours/shift, including weekends and public holidays.
