Animal Trainer/Presentation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled animal trainer/presentation specialist to join our team. As a key member of our animal care and presentation team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and handling of animals, as well as delivering engaging and educational presentations to our visitors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal behavior, training, and presentation, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing training plans, conducting presentations, and maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide proper husbandry, housing, care, feeding, training, and enrichment of animals to achieve the highest level of positive welfare.
  • Identify and report any abnormalities, signs of possible health concerns, and/or behavioral issues in animals.
  • Complete daily recordkeeping forms for feeding, weights, behavior, training, and enrichment as required.
  • Maintain the highest quality of animal presentations and guest interactive programs, with the aim of promoting conservation and education.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 'N' Level qualification.
  • At least 2 years of prior experience in animal care, veterinary medicine, training, or shows.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills.
  • Effective and motivated team player.
  • Able to present in front of crowds and work with animals.
